Into The Heart Space through Embodied Yoga & Cacao

Into the Heart Space is a heart-led embodied yoga and cacao ceremony, held in sacred circle and guided by Ashlyn. This gathering is an invitation to slow down, soften, and return to the quiet wisdom of the heart - through movement, stillness, sound, touch, and plant medicine.

Those who arrive will be gently smudged before entering the space, honouring the ceremonial cacao and releasing what is ready to be laid down. The circle is cleared and held with Reiki, intention, and deep respect for the medicines and practices being shared.

The ceremony opens with ceremonial Mayan cacao, supporting presence, connection, and heart awareness. From here, you will be guided through intuitive, embodied yoga - movement that is felt rather than shaped - alongside breathwork, meditation, and the steady rhythm of the drum. The drum becomes a guide, gently leading you inward and back into the heart.

There will be moments of movement and moments of complete stillness. During the quieter phases, Ashlyn will move through the circle offering hands-on Reiki, along with a gentle anointing using her Heart Chakra Aromatherapy Blend. This bespoke blend - created to support openness, trust, forgiveness, calming, and emotional release - weaves together ylang-ylang, rosemary, petitgrain, marjoram, lavender, and clary sage, inviting you to listen and speak from the heart with greater ease.

Throughout the ceremony, you will work with a Reiki-charged Rose Quartz crystal, held during heart-centred meditation and carried with you through the gathering. These crystals are yours to take home, continuing to support the intention of the ceremony beyond the circle.

Angel cards will also be offered, allowing space for gentle guidance and reflection - a message to carry with you as you return to the world.

This is a ceremony of remembering. A coming back to yourself, and a soft reconnection with the shared heart of those gathered alongside you.

​What is ceremonial cacao

Ceremonial cacao, a plant medicine served in the form of a drink. Cacao is known for its beautiful heart opening properties, that will support you to the door of opportunity, lovingly without pressure.

Cacao has been used in ancient ceremonies throughout mesoamerica for at least 5,000 years, serving as a tool for connecting to the energetic space of your heart as well as those around you. We will be using the Mayan cacao connected through Ashlyn's linage.

*Ceremonial doses of Cacao are not recommended for somebody who is taking antidepressants (Cacao contains MAO inhibitors), has a serious heart condition, has very high blood pressure or suffers epilepsy. Please speak to your doctor if you consider taking ceremonial doses of Cacao in any of these cases. Raw Cacao contains Histamine. Pregnant women should take smaller amounts.

About Ashlyn

Ashlyn is a yoga teacher, cacaoista, Master Reiki practitioner, holistic remedial massage therapist, qualified aromatherapist, crystal healer, and sound healing practitioner.

The ceremonial cacao shared in this gathering is Mayan cacao, held and served with reverence and connected through Ashlyn’s maternal lineage. Her work weaves together years of training across therapeutic bodywork, energy healing, plant medicine, aromatherapy, crystal therapy, and sound - bringing these modalities together with integrity and intention.

For those who feel called to explore this work more deeply, Ashlyn will also be offering Into the Heart Space: Heart-Centred Therapeutic Massage throughout February. These sessions extend the essence of the ceremony into a private, hands-on experience of bodywork, Reiki, crystal therapy, and clinical aromatherapy.
