New Moon Into Solstice - A Cacao, Embodied Yoga & Reiki Ceremony

As we move toward the height of summer and the light of the Solstice begins to draw near, we are invited into a sacred pause - a moment to soften, listen deeply, and prepare ourselves for the season ahead.

Held beneath the energy of the New Moon, this ceremonial gathering is an invitation to plant intentions for the summer to come. Together, we will gather in circle to reconnect with the body, awaken creativity and inner radiance, and honour the gentle unfolding of this new seasonal threshold.

Guided by Ashlyn, this immersive journey weaves together ceremonial cacao, embodied yoga, restorative rest, Reiki healing, aromatherapy, and the rhythm of the drum.

What to expect

Those who arrive will be gently welcomed into the space with ritual and intention, creating a grounded and supportive container for the journey ahead.

The ceremony will open with ceremonial cacao and intention setting, offering space to reflect on what you are calling into your life as you step toward the Solstice; perhaps more softness, creativity, vitality, joy, expression, connection, or rest.

You will then be guided through an intuitive embodied yoga practice - movement that is felt rather than performed - inviting the body to awaken, soften, and flow with greater freedom and presence.

A short integration pause will follow, with herbal tea, nourishing seasonal treats, and time to rest in the courtyard, browse ritual offerings, journal, or simply sit quietly before returning to the space.

From here, the journey will gently descend inward through restorative yoga, guided meditation, and the steady pulse of the drum. As the body settles into stillness, Ashlyn will move through the circle offering Reiki healing and aromatherapy, supporting deep rest, energetic balance, and integration.

Each guest will receive a mini ritual anointing with Ashly’s seasonal Inspire aromatherapy blend, created to awaken creativity, feminine flow, confidence, and expansion, woven with notes of sweet orange, rose, clary sage, sandalwood, ylang ylang, and lavender.

Moon Rising herbal tea, handcrafted by local herbalist Anita from The Medicine Tree, will also be shared as part of the gathering, offering gentle nourishment and grounding beneath the New Moon energy.

This is a ceremony for softening into the season ahead.

​What is ceremonial cacao

Ceremonial cacao, a plant medicine served in the form of a drink. Cacao is known for its beautiful heart opening properties, that will support you to the door of opportunity, lovingly without pressure.

Cacao has been used in ancient ceremonies throughout mesoamerica for at least 5,000 years, serving as a tool for connecting to the energetic space of your heart as well as those around you. We will be using the Mayan cacao connected through Ashlyn's linage.

*Ceremonial doses of Cacao are not recommended for somebody who is taking antidepressants (Cacao contains MAO inhibitors), has a serious heart condition, has very high blood pressure or suffers epilepsy. Please speak to your doctor if you consider taking ceremonial doses of Cacao in any of these cases. Raw Cacao contains Histamine. Pregnant women should take smaller amounts.

Ashlyn is a yoga teacher, cacaoista, Master Reiki practitioner, holistic remedial massage therapist, qualified aromatherapist, crystal healer, and sound healing practitioner.

The ceremonial cacao shared in this gathering is Mayan cacao, held and served with reverence and connected through Ashlyn’s maternal lineage. Her work weaves together years of training across therapeutic bodywork, energy healing, plant medicine, aromatherapy, crystal therapy, and sound - bringing these modalities together with integrity and intention.
